CAMARILLO, CA, January 28, 2013 – We know consumers want a fully compatible and safe battery case for the iPhone 5 and we would like nothing more than to be able to ship it to them now. While we expected to have the LENMAR Meridian iPhone 5 Battery Case available as early as the beginning of February, we will not be able to do so. This is an industry-wide issue as no company is currently delivering MFI-certified battery cases.
We support Apple’s decision to ensure that they are confident in their Quality Control standards before releasing any MFI-approved products. We have a commitment to our partners and to follow our partner processes.
The big question is when will Apple provide the MFI standard for manufacturers to receive certification? Apple testing labs are advising us to plan for February, which means we may be able to deliver early March. However, the process is still very fluid, and we will continue to provide you with updates on timing and availability on www.lenmar.com.
